Martha Johansson is a passionate and dedicated piano teacher with a diverse musical background. She is available for in-home piano lessons in Adelaide's Central and Northern suburbs.
Born and raised in New Zealand, Martha began her musical journey at age five, learning the piano and later expanding her skills to the clarinet, saxophone, ukulele, and guitar. Her early education included a range of renowned methods, such as Suzuki, John Thompson, ABRSM, and Trinity College London, which helped her develop strong aural skills and a versatile musical foundation. Martha's dedication was highlighted when she completed her Grade 8 piano practical exam with Trinity College London in 2015. In 2024, Martha graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) from the Elder Conservatorium of Music. With almost 20 years of experience in solo and ensemble music, she is proficient in classical, contemporary, and Polynesian genres. Martha has a rich history of accompanying and performing in various ensembles, from school choirs and rock/funk bands to Polynesian Dance and Māori Kapa Haka groups. Her talent also led her to win the Fiji National Talent Competition, ‘Kaila! Star Search,’ in 2015. As an educator, Martha is committed to creating a fun and supportive learning environment. She currently teaches private piano lessons at a local high school and is excited to share her love of music with more aspiring pianists in Adelaide. Martha focuses on providing students with the skills and tools they need for problem-solving at the piano, inspiring them to create beautiful music and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the art form. In-home Piano Tuition Fees$55 for 30 minutes
$75 for 45 minutes $95 for 60 minutes Listed fees are for ongoing weekly lessons taught at your home, paid in advance by the term. Casual lessons may be offered dependent on availability and fees are an additional $5.50 per lesson. Your first lesson is billed as a single lessons so you can see if it’s a good fit before committing for the term. |
Martha offers piano lessons at student homes throughout Adelaide's central and northern suburbs including Para Hills and Para Hills West, Ingle Farm, Parafield, Valley View, Pooraka, Modbury, Holden Hill, Windsor Gardens, Enfield, Mawson Lakes, Norwood, Magill, Tranmere, and Kensington.
