Alex is a pianist and music educator based in Kings Park, South Australia. Having recently returned to his hometown of Adelaide, he offers lessons from his home studio and in students’ homes across the southern suburbs, including Goodwood, Unley and Mitcham.
Alex began learning piano at the age of nine and studied under Dr Diana Weekes. He has performed in eisteddfods, lunchtime concerts and competitions, both as a soloist and in collaborative settings. This performance experience, together with his strong interest in music and education, informs his thoughtful and engaging approach to teaching. Alex teaches students from beginner to early advanced levels and is experienced in preparing students for AMEB and other music examinations. His lessons develop strong foundations in technique, theory and musical expression while encouraging confidence, independence and a lasting enjoyment of music. Recognising that every student learns differently, Alex tailors his teaching to each student’s level, goals and musical interests. Rather than following a single prescribed method, he selects suitable repertoire that motivates each student while supporting their musical development. He aims to create a positive and encouraging learning environment in which students feel both supported and challenged. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide, with majors in French and Linguistics. He offers piano lessons in both English and French. Music Qualifications
Piano Tuition Fees at Alex's Studio$50 for 30 minutes
$70 for 45 minutes $90 for 60 minutes Listed fees are for ongoing weekly lessons taught at Alex's studio, paid in advance by the term or by the month. Casual lessons may be offered dependent on availability and fees are an additional $5.50 per lesson. Your first lesson is billed as a single lessons so you can see if it’s a good fit before committing for the term.

Alex offers piano lessons from his home studio at 39 Ningana Avenue, Kings Park as well as at student homes throughout Adelaide's southern suburbs including Goodwood, Unley, Fullteron, Wayville, Parkside, Millswood, Hyde Park and Mitcham.
